LEARNING TO PAINT

During my 3 month internship at Pixar i had the opportunity to study painting with pastels under Bill Cone. I have been wanting to learn to paint and understand colour for a long time and was very greatful to have that opportunity.
Learning about colour was an eye opening experiance.
These are the pastels from Bills class.
I wanted to post a couple of my recent pastels aswell, but i do not have the scanner connected yet. I will post them as soon as i can. I want to keep exploring the medium, i find that it is helping me alot with composition and my personal illustrations.

Bill Cone, holy. Color me jealous! haha.. that's awesome though. These are definitely strong color studies - looks like you're feeling a lot more confident about this sort of thing than you were a couple months ago.
